What is it? Vamana is an Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapy in which excess Kapha and toxins are expelled from the body through the mouth. It is medically known as therapeutic vomiting and is especially effective for Kapha-related disorders like asthma, bronchitis, and certain skin diseases.

What is it? In this therapy, excess doshas—mainly Pitta—and toxins are eliminated from the body through the rectum. It is a detoxification procedure that cleanses the system, improves digestion, and helps treat various disorders.

What is it? It is used to control and balance Vata dosha. In this treatment, medicated oil or herbal decoction is administered through the rectum to regulate Vata, which is considered the root cause of many diseases. Due to its wide effectiveness, Basti is also known as “half of all treatments” (Ardha Chikitsa) in Ayurveda.

What is it? In this medicated oil, ghee, or herbal decoction is instilled into both nostrils. According to Ayurveda, “Nasa hi Shiraso Dwaram”—the nose is the gateway to the head—so medicines administered through the nose act directly on the brain and vital sensory organs.

What is it? In this impure or vitiated blood is removed from the body to support healing. It can be done in two ways—systemic (from a vein) or local (near the affected area) using methods like syringe, leech therapy, or prachchhana (scarification).
